Measuring the link between gender and inequality remains a complex challenge. According to recent studies by the United Nations and other organizations, social and economic progress for African women and women of African descent has been limited. At MMF, we believe in addressing this issue by offering free mentoring to women from Africa and the African diaspora, empowering them to succeed both professionally and personally. We view mentoring as advocacy, leveraging the nurturing qualities of motherhood to support and engage our mentees. We do not see women as incapable but recognize that systemic inequities are far too intricate to quantify. By providing tailored mentoring support, we hope to help women overcome these obstacles and achieve their full potential.
